| WE WANT TO REACH THE LOST! Join Like Elijah Ministry for the first Celebrando Navidad to be held December 27-29, 2011. The bridge to Rio Bravo, Mexico will allow us a quick hop and skip to our ministry area! Think of this bridge as the BRIDGE TO JESUS CHRIST. Visits are underway with several new pastors of the Rio Bravo area who are eager to see their communities come to know the Lord as their Savior. They saw your love & willingness to work with them & are anxious for next year! With your help we will spend two days going door to door sharing the gospel, hosting services and preparing the field for the big day! Together, hand in hand we will continue the work began in 2010 to Celebrate Christmas (Celebrando Navidad) with our brothers and sisters on the 29th! Throughout the day there will be preaching, giveaways, games for everyone, music, with hot dogs and charro beans served in the afternoon. This will also be an opportunity to bless the children with gift bags that will be put around their neck as they go through the food line. Consider putting bags together as a church, 4-H, school, or community project. We will also be looking for items to be raffled off during the day. Items that are valuable and appreciated, but not limited to could be – We so appreciate everything you provide but we’ve found we do have limitations such as…no storage space…or…some things we just can’t get across the border. While items may be valuable in the states it’s possible they’re not in Mexico. Loose toys, fabric scraps, glass dishes, etc. ‘Like New’ and ‘New’ – generally we can get that across. Call to ask! |

| KID BAGS Every child will receive a gallon size ziplock type bag that has been hole punched on top (in the middle) with a pink or blue string, yarn or shoelace tied through it. As they come through the food line we place a bag around their neck. Perhaps this is a mission project your church, 4-H club, or organization would like to participate in. Many times there may be a group coming from your area that could bring your bags. We need boy, girl, teenager and baby bags. Ideas to include but not limited to: |

Bean Bag Football Throw Face Painting Fingernails Ring Toss Cake Walk Bowling Duck Pond (my 'ducks' waddled off last year as I can't locate them!) NEWS ALERT! FBC Purcell will be bringing several games. NEW IDEAS! Ring Toss - lay out a sheet, place lots of candy on it, kids can throw small rings (like teething ring or such) & whatever it lands on they get to keep. YOU NAME THE GAME - 5 gallon buckets placed with distance between them. Kids throw a ball & the bucket it lands in determines the amount of candy they receive. |
