SOMOTILLO FBC McAlester, OK & Donna, TX June 17-24 Evangelism
Somotillo is on the border of Nicaragua & Honduras. Our friend & Nicaraguan leader/pastor had asked us several times to pray about a crusade in this area. Roberto is the most organized man I have ever met & took care of much of the footwork for us. Pastors from Chinandega came to help train those from Somotillo who hadn't worked with us before. Somehow there must have been a communication glitch as we always send our teams out separately though this year we traveled & ministered in the same areas. We'll have to get that worked out for next year. Nathan (who I loudly proclaim 'has the wisdom for our family' solved the problem...he divided our 2 teams into 3. Each team rotated to who would hold the service while the other 2 teams went in opposite directions....witnessing to every house or person we came across (even in the drinking bars) or holding services when we found a group of folks. It was incredible to do this - no one sat around lolly gagging! The folks on this team did not sit around - their whole focus was sharing JESUS CHRIST! 2407 DECISIONS FOR CHRIST!

The Sandwich Team
We ALWAYS start the day off with God's word to encourage the Nicaraguans & Americans!
Dwayne (Nathan's brother) preaching.
Nothing stops Jim (age 78) from walking long distance to share God's Word! I've been to Africa, Mexico & Nicaragua with him! He, Annabell & John asked to share in a bar where the owner turned off the jukebox. 2 accepted Christ.
Aaron & one of the youth sacking rice.

We would take off on foot to share with those we came across.
The team hadn't been there 10 minutes before they started evangelizing.

(Picture above/below) We were told we would get to preach in a stadium on the last day (you know how you just assume things?). Anyway...there is an adult ballgame going on w/spectators scattered throughout. Clouds are overhead, our men are praying...it starts to rain. We ask everyone to move over to one side (they do), we start singing & testifying. We look over & the ballplayers are leaving the field - PTL! We hit a GRAND SLAM with the opportunity to share about our Lord & Savior!
Arturo's prayer was answered....Annabell came! What a blessing!
Lucas preaching.
We were asking if there were any more houses on this road?
We would be in Nicaragua regardless, having American teams join us helps us get the WORD out to greater numbers!
Happy Campers sitting on the rice bags!
The Nicaraguans were in charge of the music.

The rice is bagged & waiting to be given out after the preaching. Parking our vehicles close created a wonderful space to send folks through...single file.
