Thank you! Your prayers keep our spirits encouraged, holds us up before the throne and keeps us on the right path. You are all very important to us. We try to keep you informed so that you know what to pray for and how your support is being used for the Lord! |
| TEAM! Are you looking for a mission experience this summer or the rest of the year? Consider working with Like Elijah Ministry along the Mexico border! | RESCUE HOTEL BLANKETS! (anyone checked on this possibility yet?) NOTE: IT WON'T BE LONG FOR THE COLD WEATHER MONTHS - PLUS OUR FOLKS LOST MOST OF THEIR ITEMS DURING THE RECENT FLOOD. WE WILL BE NEEDING BLANKETS (SOCKS/STOCKING CAPS/GLOVES/COATS). PLEASE CHECK YOUR RESOURCES TO SEE WHAT'S OUT THERE! This past year the Precious Moments Hotel donated pre-slept in (cute, huh?) blankets that we distributed in Mexico. Now I was thinking....do all hotels get rid of those still nice & warm blankets? This might be a good project for 4-H, S.S. classes, etc - talk to your neighborhood hotels to see if you can collect them & then we can distribute them to those on the Mexico border! WHAT A GREAT IDEA! |
| DONATIONS! When sending donations please attach a note to the check saying what it's for RATHER then writing it directly on the check. It's an IRS thing. |

| Next Stop: Nicaragua Missionary Testimony #3: Destiny Everitte (from the Mississippi team) What can I say about my trip to Nicaragua except that it changed me, in the best way. When we left here I had absolutely no idea what to expect, or what to expect of the people I was going with. When we got to Nicaragua I immediately became so excited and knew that God put me there for a reason. Then Jim told me he wanted me to speak at one of the schools that week, needless to say all the excitement disappeared and turned to nervousness. When it came time for me to talk they took me aside and prayed for me to have the words the Lord wanted me to say, and I did. After the first school I wasn't nervous anymore because I knew God was with me every step of the way. I spoke to almost every school we went to the rest of the week. Every Nicaraguan we met had such a hunger for what we had to say and supported and appreciated everything we were doing for them. I came back with Nicaraguan brothers and sisters I will have in my life forever and a church family I can always count on and for that I am forever grateful to God and everyone at The Pointe that made this trip possible for me. I think that reaching out to people and teaching Jesus is one of the most important things we can do as christians. I look forward now to mission trips to come and realize that God can use even me to do great things in his Son's name. Thanks and God bless. :) |
